Wobbly Ceiling Light

The Wobbly Surface Mount Lights by We Ponder form part of the New Heights Collection, offering a sculptural ceiling-mounted solution designed to complement the Dawn and Slate wall lighting ranges. Each fitting pairs a softly diffused porcelain globe with a hand-formed ceramic body, creating a balanced, ambient light suited to bedrooms, hallways, and living spaces. The larger format introduces a more defined ceiling presence while maintaining a gentle, even illumination.

Developed in collaboration with Cygnet-based ceramicist Ian Clare, each ceramic body is individually crafted using traditional techniques. The Wobbly Dawn features a hand-carved, gently textured surface finished in a low-sheen eggshell glaze, while the Wobbly Slate is defined by a dark, mottled glaze with subtle variations of charcoal, copper, and chocolate tones. Paired with a frosted porcelain globe, both options deliver a soft, functional light when illuminated, while retaining a strong material presence when off.
